Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers can give our faces a more youthful refinement, and can be used at younger ages to attain more aesthetically pleasing contours. At Refine Medical & Aesthetics, at our offices in Westbrook and Westport, Connecticut, we treat to celebrate a natural appearance.

Filler treatments are planned and performed by Suzanne Arcuni, APRN, Refine's owner and a nationally recognized Certified Master Injector.

As we age or lose weight, our faces experience volume loss, shifting of facial fat pads, decreased quality of skin, muscle loss, and bone reabsorption. Filler can:

• Volumize flattened cheeks and lips
• Define the jawline
• Smooth smile lines, the folds from the nose to the corners of the mouth
• Soften wrinkles and improve feature proportions for a refreshed, natural look

Cheeks, jawline, lips, and the mid-face are all popular areas, and each can have beautiful results without looking "overdone." Lip filler can restore volume to flattened lips, cheek filler can volumize flattened cheeks, and jawline filler can define the jaw.

Refine offers the complete Juvederm collection by Allergan, including Voluma, Volux, Vollure, and Volbella, as well as the RHA Collection by Revance, which has a unique indication for lines that appear more in motion.

• Filler can't be done within 2 weeks of any vaccination, dental work, surgery, or oral antibiotic therapy for an acute illness.
• Please consider taking Arnica pills starting 5 days before your treatment to reduce the risk of bruising, unless it is medically contraindicated for you.
• No exercise for 24 hours after treatment.
• Avoid massage face cradles, facials, and Diamond Glow treatments for 2 weeks after any injectable treatment.
