Jaw clenching and teeth grinding
Neuromodulators can also be used to alleviate teeth grinding and jaw clenching. Injecting the masseter muscle can eliminate the need for a night guard for many people. It can also slim an overly wide or square jawline.
Your appointment
Most patients are treated the same day, and you can book at either office. New patients book the "New Patient Consultation with Injectables" under "New to Refine?" in our online booking. Returning patients can book Botox or Daxxify on its own, or together with one or two areas of dermal filler.

After your treatment
- Avoid plane travel for 24 hours.
- No exercise for 24 hours.
- No eyebrow care until the treatment has settled.
- Avoid massage face cradles, facials, and Diamond Glow treatments for 2 weeks after any injectable treatment.

Frequently asked questions
How long do Botox and Daxxify last?
According to their makers, Botox Cosmetic results can last up to four months, and in Daxxify's clinical trials more than half of patients still had no or minor frown lines six months after treatment. How long your own results last can vary.
How soon will I see results from Botox or Daxxify?
Our patients typically start to see results from Botox within 4 to 5 days, with final results at about 10 to 14 days. With Daxxify, they typically start to see results within the first 24 hours, with final results within 2 weeks. Timing varies from person to person.
What is the difference between Botox and Daxxify?
Both are prescription wrinkle relaxers (neuromodulators) made from botulinum toxin type A, and both can soften or eliminate lines at rest and in motion. The key difference is how they're formulated: Daxxify is stabilized with a peptide and is vegan. Refine uses them for frown lines, forehead lines, crow's feet, the neck, the chin and jawline, and the masseter, and can help you choose the right option for you.
